OEM luggage rack
26 Sep 2023 11:34 - 26 Sep 2023 11:35
Hi everyone,
I can't seem to find if the luggage rack K53020-035 is for a 750 twin or four cylinders. Would anybody know ? Partzilla is of no help as it just states KZ750 ( www.partzilla.com/product/kawasaki/K53020-035 )
I attach a picture of the rack that I might buy if fitting for a 750 H LTD.
Cheers

Below is a luggage rack for the 750H. I've seen a couple on EB over the years.
I don't know if another oem rack would've been made for the model but probably not.
KZ750H-Ltd luggage carrier. Kawasaki part #K53020-053.

Just an FYI. I installed a K&G luggage rack from back in the day. Most are chrome but some are black. KG racks are universal fit and listed in all sorts of ways, often times according to what motorcycle they were on. Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, CB750, GS850, XS650, etc etc etc. Nice ones on EB sometimes can be kind of overpriced, especially when listed for a Honda.
1981 KZ650-CSR. frame is the same as a 750H. Luggage carrier installed w K&G KZ440 brackets.
I originally installed it w simple homemade brackets so that the rack was closer to the seat.

Be sure to examine the chrome carefully >> sometimes digital pics obscure the rust & flaws. Also, there are various different arms that fit to the shocks. Get arms that have the least amount of curvature/offset so that the rack will fit closer. I got a good rack, then found some different/better arms. The racks have a flex adjustment for the width >> loosen two large screws at the rack, adjust the width, then tighten the screws.

Hi everyone,
Sorry for digging this 3 year old post but it seems to be the only post online that has knowledge about these rear rack.
I just wanted to confirm that (for OEM) the K53020-035 will fit any kz 750 B (or four cylinders) that are not LTD ?
I was looking at the same partzilla part online and contacted them directly but they don't know what model it will fit .
Thanks in advance for any answer.

guessing it will fit. 750B/G frames have a cross-tube where the U-clamps would attach. the later 750twins don't have that. again, guessing. fyi.partzilla may not actually have the part.

I was looking for a rear rack 10 years ago and could not find one to buy. I ended up designing and fabricating my own out of 6061 aluminum.
The end pieces are water jet cut and the cross pieces I made on my lathe. All the fasteners are metric SS. The total cost at that time was $130.

Well thank you all for your answer.
I was thinking about doing one myself but I have neither the skills nor the tools. My welder skills are probably around 0 ahah.
When I reach the customer service they mentioned that this item has been in store for quite some time let's see if the inventory is up to date or not
I will try my chance with partzilla. maybe I will be lucky who knows and I will post a message here with the item description to help future people
