Those Ohlins look pretty sweet. Way better shocks than I am rider I'm sure. Good price too if they don't rape you on shipping.

They are adjustable for length, and both compression and rebound damping, so presumably they should be tuneable for my 750E2. The ad says they will swap the springs for my needs too. Not sure about the eyelets is all so I asked them for assistance in that regard. Hopefully they will work with me.

That's a killer deal I would have bought them at that price.

Any shock that is setup for your individual weight is probably gonna be better than a generic one. I had a set of progressives once and one blew out after 15k miles. they were ok for the money, but if I were in that price point again I'd spend the extra for a set of hagons. Since race tech hasn't been shown on here yet I'll say these shocks are a hell of a deal for what you get. Completely custom specs for each shock. 8 oz lighter than a comparable works shock but beefier in every dimension.

Race Tech's were on my short list. They are gas charged with a separation divider between the gas and oil unlike some other emulsion shocks where the gas and oil are mixed together. They are quite expensive though. Works shocks are even more expensive for what you get. Work's cheapest shocks (Steel Tracker's) use a steel body but they also have lightweight aluminum bodied shocks as well (for additional money). Their cheapest steel bodied emulsion shocks are something like $500 with a single rate spring which ain't exactly cheap.

You're gonna love those Ohlins "Nessism". Set up right, they're like nothin else!

We stuffed Ohlins internals in the zx10r forks too.

I'm getting excited about the shocks. Ohlin's USA contacted me today and said the shocks will work great for my application. They swapped out the springs for some stiffer ones and will ship tomorrow. All I have to deal with is making or buying a bushing to reduce the top eyelet diameter. Might be time for some emulators for the front!

It's not fair to keep showing pictures of Ohlins

I would venture a guess that 90% of the riders here can't ride their KZ bikes with the factory shocks and springs fast enough to reach their limit. So $500-$700 for a pair of shocks and springs on a mid 70's design....delusional thinking.

I had good shocks on Bossie when I started on her again. The shafts were rusty so they were junk. I got some repro stock shocks, I should have kept the others. These duel rate shocks are much better but I can tell they won't perform like the racing shocks I had before. I'd love to have some like those. If there is a handling issue, it won't be the shocks.

Who did you go through to get your shocks rebuilt? I picked up a blown Ohlins shock for my Aprilia and need to get it rebuilt.
