Hi all,

I havent been on here for a long time, so just want to say Hi to y'all again and hope everyone is riding safely...

My question is about the Corbin Gunfighter seat (pic can be seen here)
www.1066customcycles.co.uk/acatalog/KZ.html

I have got a KZ1000 Police bike and was wondering if anyone knows if this seat will fit my bike?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and nice to be back here......

It would be easier to weld the hinges onto your bike than to modify the seat. In a perfect world you would walk into a wrecking yard and find an old kz that has a bad frame and the owner would cut that part of the frame off. Then you could take it home and cut the hinges off and weld them on your bike. The seat would or should fit right on for ya. But you will more than likely have to fab up some hinges and weld them on. Either way it shouldn't be too hard to do.

or there is always someone like me that would lovw to have a gunfighter for my 900   B) (if the price was right the 300 corbin wants is waay too high and they bring nearly 200 on ebay (sucks to be broke))

My opinion is they are dang ugly to put it mildly. Not the ugliest seat though, I'd have to put double buckets #1, humpback looking things as a tie for #1 and Corbin at a distant #2. Might be comfortable though, but I doubt highly as comfortable as a stock Kawasaki seat.

Thanks for the info Don.....

Once upon a time I thought about stripping my Police bike down and putting all the equipment onto a normal Z1000 frame. So I actualy bought a Z1000 frame to do just that, but I changed my mind as it is not as simple as it sounds..I still have the frame and I have a heavy duty Arc Welder too, so at the moment it seems like its all gona be good.....

Ron, I thought about a king and queen seat but I didn't like them  so I opted for the Gunfighter, Its prob not everyones cup of tea, and I dont think I have seen a police bike with a gunfighter seat on it (if anyone has done it, i would love to see a pic)

I will post a pic of mine when i manage to get it sorted
