Well, I've wanted to replace my bars for awhile now and then tonight my KZ fell over and bent the original bars. Not bad, but enough to feel it.

Now I need new bars out of necessity!

I've been reading about superbike bars and others but just can not decide.

Any suggestions? What have you had sucess with?

I am hopeing to find some that will not require new cables. I don't really care for the original bars.

I like the European bars I got from z1, more comfortable for my wrists, although I kinda miss the look of the old bars. The European bars are a 2" rise w/ 5.5" pullback.

These bars here .

Here are a few, of the bars, clutch cable, throttle cables, and brake line. I've had no problems as of yet with about 200 miles after putting the bars on, and the throttle cables actually stopped sticking (they would stick a little bit with the old bars).

I also just installed some European bars that I bought off of ebay (width 30, rise 2.4 pullback 4.8) cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chrome-Motorcycl...4634281731QQtcZphoto

I haven't really had a chance to ride it more then a few times around the block but I really find the new bars give me a much more comfortable riding position, my old bars were just akward for me. I will need a shorter clutch cable and I'm debating about the throttle cables & brake hose.

Thanks for the feed back. I like the European bars and am also thinking about GP Touring bars.

The bars from my little GS300 look like they might be good too. I can't make a decision. but when I do I'll post pics for y'all.

Those look a bit more radical than the stock SR bars. I know that my grips are wider and the rise is not near as high as those you replaced. I would definitely choose your new set over your old set. B)

Yeah, I really like the new set :woohoo: , the old bars had my elbows buried in my ribs and was pretty rough on the wrists.
