Hi all,

Just wondering if there is an easy way to remove and clean the sight glass on my 81 kz-1100 A1

Removing that window without damaging it or the seal around it is near impossible.
I'm not saying it can't be done, but it won't be an easy task.

I think the best way to clean it would be to remove the master cylinder from the bike, cap off the outlet and add some fresh brake fluid, then use a small pipe cleaner or something similar that will be able to reach through the small slit at the back of the window, but soft enough that it won't scratch the glass.
FWIW, I tried removing the glass window on a spare master cylinder I had to clean it, and the glass shattered into about 5 small pieces. :(

why not just use brake parts cleaner with the little plastic tube?

If that sight glass is indeed glass and not plastic, use some spray carb cleaner.
