Andrews coils on ebay
02 Dec 2006 08:31
Am bidding on a set of Andrews ignition coils on ebay. I have e-mailed the seller about weather they will work on my stock point system, bidding ends tomarrow night and have recieved no answer. So guys, here goes. They are off a 1979 KZ650 that also had an aftermarket electronic ign system installed (dyna, I think) The coils are blue and he says they are #6262B Anyone know about these and will they work for me? Thanks...

Hi Blue,
I just tested a pair those Andrews coils I have on my '78 and they are 3.5 -4 ohm (my meter keeping jumping, cheap thing). Mine have the same part number as yours written on them so they are identical. They work great and definately give a noticeably brighter spark, seems to run good:)I am running the stock points for moment.
I think these are useable with points OR Dyna111/S considering their middle of the spectrum ohm value.
Go for it!
regards,
Ray
