78 kz650b neutral light, oil pressure light and brake trouble light do not work...BUT...between the OFF and On...and ON and Park posistions on key switch, the before mentioned idiot lights will flicker...I tested continuity of switch per the manual...they all have in common a brown wire on one side of these lights...any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks

I'm not really familiar with your exact model BUT check the ignition harness wherever it may be forced to flex because it's secured to the frame or to the back of the ignition switch itself. These points often concentrate the bending of the wiring harness and cause intermittant opens in the circuit.

I agree with KZCSI, butsuggest you also disassemble, inspect and clean the contacts in your ignition switch. It sounds to me like something inside there may be out of alignment.

UPDATE.....nothing....tried new ignition switch, checked continuity from oil pressure sending unit, neutral switch, and brake trouble switch to 9 pin connector in harness going to these lights....as earlier stated they will briefly flicker between off and start posistion on ignition switch...but that's it..the only thing they have in common is a brown wire that they all connect to..have checked continuity everywhere the wire terminates.......HELP!!!!...thanks
