Ok, I've been documenting my ignition problems on this board and I finally have some pics. I've been soldering the white wire to the point I think it is supposed to be connected to, but now I'm not so sure.

Let me know what you all think. What point should this wire be soldered to. I have been attaching it to the point above, the more silver one. But am I wrong and shold it be attached to the lower more bronze colored one?????

the wires melted together a bit when the power wire was coming loose, that explains the discoloration and lack of insulation material.

In our filebase section someone has uploaded a wiring diagram for a 1982 KZ1000M2. Maybe it will help you.
