awsome got it runnin on two cylinders(2,3) both coils are getting 12v but i think either the 1,4 point or condensor may be bad.. does one side go bad and not the other?

It's possible.
When you were trying the Dyna, you didn't have it hooked up to a Kawasaki IC ignitor, right?
The Dyna III uses its own outboard ignitor box, but it doesn't use the Kawasaki ignitor.

I had the same thing happen on a dyna III I bought used. Mine would spark when I turned the ignition off also. The problem I found was on the back of the sensor plate, there was part of the circuit board shorted to another part of it. Like a small piece of solder was raised up where a wire came through the board had bent over into one of the other circuit lines. Hope this makes sense. If you decide not to use the dyna III PM me if you are interested in getting rid of it, I'd like to have spare parts for mine since they stopped making that model. thanks
