Maybe i was to quick, my bike does not have that 4 pin connector, if i put the probe in the 10pin connector yellow/red wire to the igniter i get 0.07v

If you unplug the igniter then put the black meter lead in the Black/yellow and the red first in green then black with the ignition on do you get battery voltage on both green and black - if yes move the black meter lead to the black/white do you get the same results on the black and green

About 12v black/yellow to green and black - Good
black/white to green and black ~0.01 - Not good
Black/white needs to see ground through the neutral light or clutch switch for the system to work - Looks like we are getting somewhere :) retry the test on the black/white with the clutch lever pulled

yeah, i was looking at an older schematic.
The red/yellow wire is still the 12+ on your bike.

I'm trying to find a schematic for your bike.
The older 10 pin connector does have a diode bank connected to the igniter under the left side cover.
You may have that as well, but i'm going to do more searching for your schematic first.

Mike the OP has posted it further up the thread it's the second pic (same system I have installed on my project from a GPZ1100) looking at the results on the black/white I suspect the diode bank is the issue

OK so it looks like the "Diode Pack" is faulty - do you know how to test diodes in both directions ?
You could also make a bridging link with a 5amp fuse in it, re-connect the plug to the igniter and bridge the black/white to the black/yellow across the back of the plug - does it start now ?

Wookie,

Is the wire coming from the diode bank black/white or brown/white?
Black/white looks like one of the wires coming from an ignition pick up.

Good call, on this schematic it's brown and white (GPX and GPZ are black/white) - it's the one from pin3 on the igniter :)
