No spark
Today 18:01
Does having the start button wires disconnected stop the plugs from sparking? I had disconnected the wires because the solder points broke on the switch

Disconnecting the starter button wires usually stops everything.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar.

Actually in general, the stop switch feeds battery/alternator voltage to both, the starter switch, and the coils. The starter switch goes to a relay which fires the cranking motor, as long as button is depressed.
Of course, w/out starter switch wires, the cranking motor wont crank.
......but once engine is running, if starter switch wires are removed, the engine should keep on running, as starter switch is open anyway if not depressed. It is only a momentary held contact. The stop switch in run position would continue feeding the coils and firing the sparks. .........Am following my own wiring diagram.
