the distance sensor is part of the turn signal cancellation system. the wires go to the turn signal control unit. the device would be behind one of the side covers.

edit: 750H Ltd topic. probably applicable for the 750 Spectre >>  kzrider.com/forum/4-electrical/618413-au...urn-signal-diagnosis . not sure how much help it will be.

Does your bike have the switch on the left handlebar marked "off" and "on" or "A" and "M" ?
Did the turn signals work ok with the old speedo ?
You can't bridge the sensor but when the auto-cancelling system is turned off it shouldn't make any difference

Yes the switch is on the left side of the bars but it isn't marked by off /on  nor  does it have a A /m it just says turn and as far as I know the did but I am not sure the previous owner broke the speedo off i just bought the bike a month ago

Can you post a pic of the left handlebar switch, I suspect the speedo isn't effecting the turn signals

As I suspected your bike doesn't have the auto-cancelling function therefore you can ignore the distance sensor in the new speedo (switch looks fairly rusty though) first thing to check is with the ignition on do you have a battery feed to the orange wire going to the left handlebar switch ? (check with a voltmeter and everything connected)
