Hello all
I’m having some problems with my new wires and caps.
They are Dyna copper core silicone wire, 7 mm,red
SKU: DW-300
I have a 1982 Kawasaki KZ 1100a2
It came with 2 wires for 4 cylinders cut to size
4 rubber boots
4 caps to screw on top of spark plug
4 metal crimps to attach to wire and coil only problem is I can attach the metal crimp to the wire but I can’t attach it to the coil? There’s a pin INSIDE the coil so small that the metal crimp won’t close small enough to connect.
So I tried sticking the cable into the coil and then used the old pieces that was on the bike originally to connect and tighten the wires down that way. It’s backfiring only # 1 cylinder has a spark ⚡️ but still starts. I pulled every plug out individually and started the bike and no spark on 2 through 4 left to right only # 1 cylinder first one on left is firing. At this point I’m not sure if I have the cables in the right spot for this is my second attempt first with Taylor wires I bought the wrong ones. They were not solid wire. They were stranded so in the process, I might’ve switched the damn cables around. I’m looking in my parts manual and showing the right coil one and four cylinder in the left coil two and three I tried that way switching the cables around and I couldn’t get it to run? Does anybody got a picture from the coil to the cylinder that I can reference on I looked at my manual and all I can find is a wiring diagram which is and give me too much help. Thanks for the comeback
