KZ1000 Spark Plug Wire Fitment was created by MJinCO
Due to my non standard motor setup I have to use over length home made plug wires. I'm using Spriro Pro. MY question is what should the end the goes into the coil look like? Should the conductor protrude from the insulator to contact the pin inside the coil? Or should the conductor be cut flush to the insulator so that the pin inside the coil penetrates into the conductor?

If the coil towers have the small centre pin the wires should be cut square and "screwed" onto the centre post

Thank you for that. I looked at my replacement coils and the have a large, not sharp center pin. I have the current wires with about 1/2" of conductor extended. I can switch back to the old coils which worked and have the sharp center pin. Which would you recommend?
Many thanks for all your help.

The plug wire should be butt cut, then pushed into the recess inside the coil, so that the peg in the coil penetrates inside the plug wire. Make sure the wire fits all the way down inside the coil recess. Take measurements and mark the wire before install. Some WD-40 on the wire, and inside the coil recess, will help the wire slide in properly.

Does the centre pin look similar to the cap on a spark plug ? if so you will need a non-resistive fitting (similar to a pug cap) for the leadThank you for that. The pin is much smaller but flat ended like a plug cap. I have no idea where i would find a fitting like that around here.

I put in my old coils per your directions, immediately solved my problem. This winter I'l look into using some Dyna coils. That will probably require making new plug wires also, so will require some time and expense to get it right. . Thanks again for the advice and directions. Out here I only know one fellow with lots of MC experience and he is out of town quit a bit and has high end KTM's. The closest dealer is about 60 miles away and no repair shops around.
