Mystery wire from battery case was created by kdx200

I have a 1978 KZ400 I bought and installed new battery and found a extra wire that is Yellow/black! Where does that hook up to?

All black/yellow wires on Kawasaki are ground. Should connect to battery neg terminal (I would replace the crimp first as it looks like most of the strands are broken which will give mysterious electrical issues)
