I'm looking for a pulsing coil set up for my 1981 D1 that will plug into the harness. Isn't there a firm making new ones or am I thinking of the other side of the engine?

It's part number 59026-1009.

Suggestions welcome.

Not replacing. Missing.

Doing a ground-up on a 1981 GPz550. I can see the end of the tunnel --or is that the bright lights at the end of life?. This was one of the "find it later" list a year ago.

I cobbed some stuff off my KZ700 parts bike but that part of the 700 isn't going to work.

Ness!

Thank you. Man that is spendy but if I have no choice.

Say--thanks for all your posts here and help. I'd buy you lunch if you were local.

I've got a bunch of KZ and GPzs. You have been a big help.

From the diagrams at Partzilla it looks like all of the KZ550s w electronic ignition used the same pulsing coil.
There's an ebayy parts lot for a KZ550C that includes the needed part plus a timing advancer. #266357158260. $135T.
The pulsing coil looks to be in good physical condition but used part, so you never know.
