Gap for the pick up coil.

Hello Everyone. I am looking for the gap between the Pick up coil and the relector on my 84 ltd 1100. there are 2 coils. does one have a bigger gap?

They should be about the same. The manual might have a specific distance, but generally, it should be around 1mm. Slightly less usually, but too close will cause impact during high RPMs. At high RPMs the rotor moves a bit, so you need the extra clearance for that .
