ZX550 battery indicator

Hi Guys,
Ive got an '85 GPz550 Unitrak (ZX550 A1) that has the battery electrolyte sensor on the fuel tank panel. However, I'm using a gel battery which does not have the sensor installed so the LED warning light flashes continually. How do I disconnect or stop this light from flashing?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hook the sensor wire up to the positive side of the battery . That will stop the blinking light .Had the same issue with my turbo when i put one of those batteries in .

The sensor wire is pink & there should be a black-white accessory wire, probably under the LH side cover near the electro stuff, so you could probably unplug the sensor & connect the pink wire to the black-white acc terminal. With any luck, the wires will be long enough & pink will plug right in. If not, you could make a short jumper wire. should be easy. There's probably other ways to do it.

ps: in the USA the ZX550-A1 is the 1984 model. The 85 would be the A2.
