10A fuse source?
23 Sep 2019 22:37
Popped a 10A fuse yesterday. Actually it was a 7.5 A fuse in place of what should have been a 10A. I haven't seen any at the auto supply, bike parts places or at the Z1 website. Any ideas where I can get some 10 A fuses?
TIA

I don“t know where are you located but LOUIS in Europa sells a set of five 10 A fuses for 1,99 Euro.

You need to identify the fuse you need not just by the amperage but also the specific fuse number. For example, there are 10 amp fuses that have different lengths. So a fuse that is too long or too short won't fit your fuse holder. Take a look online and you should be able to find the correct fuse number for the exact fuse you need. The link below provides some info. Ed

As 650Ed's link suggests, NAPA carries them.

Thanks,
I looked for it in the specifications in the Kawasaki Service manual for the part number and found no listing. All the wire diagram shows is the specification of 10 amps.
1/4" x 7/8" Glass, fast acting is what came out (7.5 A)
O'reilly's and Cycle gear don't carry them.

What motorcycle is it? My 81 KZ650-CSR has a main fuse box & an acc fuse box.
I forget which, but one of the fuse boxes uses 25mm fuses & the other uses 30mm. One length is AGX & the other is AGC.
The length is provided in the diagrams for one of them, but not the other.
25mm = 1" & 30mm = 1-1/4". all of the fuses are 1/4" diameter.

26006-003 is specified for my 82 1100A, but I've been using 10A fuses from a local electronics store without problems. That is, since I swapped out the stock voltage regulator for a SH775 a couple years ago...one of my better moves.

Do an internet search for AGX fuse or AGC fuse. Your main fuse box will use one or the other. EB or amazon.com might have what you need. Some auto parts stores sell glass fuses, but nowadays they usually come as an assortment of several sizes packaged together.
