The ignition parts will swap with very little trouble.
The charging system parts will not swap easily if at all.
The charging system on the 1977 Kz650 is totally different. You will have to swap the flywheel and stator which will require some fabrication work. If you can swap parts from a much later Kz650, like 1981, or swap parts from a Kz750-four, then you can use the electrical parts from the 550 including the regulator/rectifier.

Wow. Instead of spending forever trying to make something work that won't why not simply replace the faulty part in the 1977 KZ650 with the correct part and go riding? Ed

Like Ed said, it's a lot easier to just fix what you have than to machine all new adapter parts from raw material. It's a hell of a lot cheaper too. The 550 and 650 are totally different sized rotors and stators, and the cranks they bolt to are different too.
You can get a regulator for around $50 assuming yours is bad, and a rectifier can be had for $5. A few wires is all you need after that.
Do you have photos of what you have?
