Eliminating flasher and hazard relays?

Hello,

I would like to know if there is a reason for having both a hazard and a flasher relay and why one wouldn't suffice. I have put a GSXR front end on my 77 kz650 and wish to use the GSXR controls however they integrated the hazard and turn signal switches with in the hand control so that only one flasher relay was required.

Is it fatal to have your hazard and flasher relay be one unit?

Can you get the relay used in the gsxr? I didn't include flashers when i rewired my bike. I made the turn signals work even with the key off so if I need to flash its just gonna be left or right...

I just did away with the hazard flasher switch and mini rectifier. Turn signals work as they should.

I will look for the GSXR version. I assume the hazard is separate so that they work when you don't have the bike on so I think I made need them for certification in Ontario Canada.
