Thanks.

If you are referring to the turn signal cancelling module, mine is mounted to the battery box, and I am sure other bikes have different locations. It usually helps to refer to the year / model you are working on.

Have you tried looking in your service manual?

If you want to launch that module somewhere, launch it over my hedge, because mine is intermittent.

The parts diagrams usually indicate the orientation of parts for how something will fit on the motorcycle. The diagram won't show the exact location, but the drawing should help to narrow down how or where a part fits. be sure to note the position of the fasteners.

Thanks guys, 1981 KZ 440 LTD belt. This is a complete frame off resto' the connector on the loom would indicate it fits somewhere on the right side of the battery box, but I can't find any holes for the bolts. I have the Haynes workshop manual which covers 400 & 440 models & is as much use as a chocolate teapot.

If all of the battery case parts are present, I would connect everything that's known, plug in the cancelling unit & move it around to see where it might fit. There ought to be some unused bolt holes somewhere or a space where it might go.

From EB photos there should be a mounting point for something on the front of the battery box. Unfortunately, there isn't a diagram for your electro stuff, but there is a battery case diagram. For comparison my voltage regulator is on the underside of the battery box & the igniter is kind of buried behind/below the fuse box.

Of all the pre-tear down pics I took this had to be the one out of focus.

" there should be a mounting point for something on the front of the battery box" Give that guy a coconut,
That is where it goes, I had to dismantle a load of stuff to get to it.
Still moving swiftly on, mount the mufflers.
