Kz1000 ignition wiring

Hey guys, so I'm slowly replacing the old wiring and made it to the spark plugs.everything seems to work fine except the original black/green/red lines to the plugs have been spliced or replaced with all white wires. I have one extra red wire though, and it seems to be the one that leads to the Killswitch/start button. I've looked at a couple wiring diagrams,I think I know where it goes, I'm just wondering about this wires function before I start replacing it all

Here's a stripped down bench test wiring for the ignition. (This is for a smaller bike, but the wiring for the bigger bike is the same.)

Page 20 of the Mattylight thread has a simplified diagram for a police bike. THe ignition portion should be the same as yours I would think.
