Working on my 1982 kz550 bobber. Back in August I took my bike for a ride, made it to the main road and my headlight went out. Bike was cold and had the choke off like an idiot and she choked out. Turn the key off and back on and I have no headlight, and no starter and the turn signal switch makes a crisp click as you turn the ignition switch on. Push started the bike and got it home but here's my main problem

Turn the ignition switch on, the turn signal switch on the left side of the handlebar makes an immediate crisp click (only one), if the switch is on right signal or left signal it immediately snaps back to the off position as it makes the click. Still have no headlight at all.

I cut the harness and checked all the wires, checked my connections and cleaned all my terminals (inside the switch mechanism on the handle bar to)

What could it be....flasher/relay/?? I have no clue, wirings my weak point.

Any help or input is greatly appreciated

Mitch

Your bike should have a turn signal operating switch, so it could be that. I don't know much about the device.
The owner's manual or Kawasaki service manual should have info about it.
If your LH handlebar control assy has an M-Turn-A switch, try moving it to M. I think M = manual >> A = auto.
