KZ750 New aftermarket mini speedometer from dime city cycles.

So I didn’t like my speedometer I bought from eBay. It wasn’t giving the speed. I set everything up correctly, at least I thought I did. Anyway, I got the cable driven mini speedometer from Dime City Cycles. Everything works perfectly and I like the design a lot. But the speedometer needle doesn’t move. So after further inspection, it does work. But only when I spin the front wheel backwards. So I double checked the speedometer gears on the front wheel and there is only one way to assemble it. Would anyone have any ideas what’s up? Is it the speedometer?
Anyway, thanks!

What speedometer did you get & does it have an instruction sheet? DCC has a bunch of mini speedos, so the part number might help. maybe not.

Is it possible to put it on the other side of the wheel? That would fix it.

Yep! Lol I had the rim on backwards. I also took a look on the tire and now it’s in the right direction. All is good now and the speedometer is working well.

Thanks!

Are you saying the speedo drive unit was on the wrong side of the wheel? I.e., the RH side.

I was thinking that you might've gotten a speedometer for a Harley & was guessing that a HD speedo spins backwards compared to a Japanese bike. ??? ... I know the HD ratio is different, typically 1:1 instead of 2240@60mph which I think is the Japanese standard.
