Just picked these up and was looking for a little help on dating them. I know there are many variations. Thanks for the help...Russ

Looks like early KZ 900/1000 gauges with chrome aftermarket covers on them.

Were Chrome Covers ever an option?

Those look to be '76 KZ 900 gauges. They may also be '77.

Telltale signs...tach redline is 9,000. This was redline for 73 to 77. They dropped it to 8,500 in 78. Tach does not have the red stop light in it that was used in '74 and '75. The space between the "ND" and "x1000rpm" is tight. The '73 tach had a much larger gap. Therefore most probably is '76, but might be '77.

Speedo has 10 mph increments. This began in '75. Earlier speedos had 20 mph increments. '76 was the same as '75. I don't know if '77 speedo was the same but I think it included kph.

LTD gauges were fitted with chrome bottoms and black tops with chrome rims about an inch below the glass. (See third photo) I think the chrome tops on your gauges were aftermarket, but if your bottoms are chrome they likely came from a KZ900 LTD.

First photo shows four gauges rebuilt by Bob at Z Resto. One tach (9000 redline) is from a Z1B and the other tachs (8500 redline) plus speedo are from a KZ1000 B4. Second photo shows speedo and tach from a Z1B that Bob also rebuilt.

You can read all of the above and more on Z Resto's site here. www.zresto.com/page5.php
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
