working on my basket case gpz1100 and trying to get it running right.
po rewired the tps plug with lamp cord and crimp connectors and i'm not sure it is connected right. currently, the blue / red wire is on the left, blue /white middle, and blue/orange on the right with the blank on the right the manual schemo shows it red on the right. anybody know for sure?

DFI/TPS wiring

Leerlaufwiderstand = 2,1 - 4,2 kOhm @ idle
Vollgasstellung = 1,0 - 2,0 kOhm @ full throttle
Pin 1 + 3 = 3,3 - 6,6 kOhm @ every position between idle and full throttle

Air temp sensor

Engine temp sensor

i spoke too soon. with the wiring as per the diagram, it runs FAT and moving the tps has no effect.
using the wiring as it was gave me a good idle and smooth running until 2k rpm.

What values you got at the TPS/Air/Engine temp sensors?
A broken wire in the TPS resistor potentiometer is PITA.

it's a strange one, lots of surprises everywhere you look on this bike. trying to contact po to see if he can tell me about his tps wiring adventure.
i'll have to go thru the sensor values again. (ohming the tps showed no rough spots using an old analog meter)
all the wires from the tps go to the right pins at the control unit, but it seems like the polarity is off?? i'll ck and see which lead is +, etc when i get a chance.
i remember he told me a convoluted story about getting a used computer and it being from another model???, but the part number is right.
thanks for your help.

the polarity of the tps wires are correct, and the tps resistance values are ok at idle and close at max. engine temp resistance is a bit low and the air is open..... dead. if i had a 5k resistor, i would try it, but i don't. i ordered a kit with a bunch of reverse polarity thermistors. maybe one will work. we will see.
what do people use to replace a bad air sensor?

ok, this is nuts!
turns out, i was reading the air sensor resistance on the wrong connector. the sensor is ok. so all the sensors are within limits.
setting the wires on the tps to match the above diagram makes it run super rich. blue / white and blue / red need to be reversed for it to run. the only symptom i get is the tach jumps around and it runs rough when it is about 2k rpm.
the part number on the back of the tps is a71-000001. is there supposed to be grease inside it?

The wiring diagram give no answer about the front or back side view of the TPS device.
The wiring colours could be mirror viewed , back-to-front on the connector plug.

i wonder if the german and the us schemos are different. perhaps i should wire it per the us layout with b/o, b/w, b/r reading left to right?
