Hi Perry
My 77 kz1000 suffers the same problem if I do not have a good earth between the main harness and batt -ve / ground.
You need to ensure that the black with yellow stripe wire on your main harness is well connected to ground.
On my bike, the black/yellow wire on main harness is located closely to the brown & blue rear brake switch wires which can be found under the seat near the LHS side cover.
Verify that this black/yellow wire from harness is well connected to ground.
Best of luck.

my mistake. Suggested checking for front turn signal grounds inside headlight bucket. Some models have big collars with ground wires that're fitted inside the bucket where the big headlight bolts are.

I'm still looking for why other lights are dimming when I have the blinker on. Left blinker on headlight , tail light , left front parking light all dim a little each time blinker blinks? Have headlight off AGAIN checked ALL connections not just the grounds. I soldered another ground wire to all turn signal sockets too. Could it be the flasher? I put a new one in from AutoZone ? Does it have to be a certain type flasher? Could it be the blinker control itself? Could it be in the indicator panel (neutral, oil, brake, high beam, turn signal indicator) I'm at my wit's end.... HELP !!!!!!!

Typically if an item momentarily pulls excessive power from the battery every light will momentarily dim when it receives less power. Years ago I had the same issue you describe when my blinkers would blink. Also, the blinkers blinked slower than I thought they should. I replaced the stock flasher with a Tridon/Stant 552 2 prong unit and the problem went away. Ed

Check your battery to see if it's fully charged. What's the voltage when the ignition is on but the bike isn't running? What is it when the bike is running?
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
