Hello New Guy! Whatever you do! Do not touch that 1980's period correct Chopper!
ARD's have been around a long time, I never had one. i used to run a Bill Hahn Electronic similar belt driven ignition, Bill Hahn Sr. made them out of GM electronic ignition parts.
You won't have a hard time finding information. The magnets can get recharged! The grove belt can be got at any industrial supply house. I used to get my parts from work.
Points can be cleaned.
Do some goggle research.
And whatever you do! Do not touch that Chopper, even if there are dents or chips in the paint! If you just got this thing?? Leave it alone.
You want a Kaw Z1 or KZ List that bike on the internet to sell and make some money!
Just my opinion, I'm 60 and grew up with these things. Search some Old "Iron Horse" magazines or one of the original aftermarket bike builders. "Denver Choppers"
Good Luck! And take my Advice & Opinion. This forum might frown on choppers, but it is what it is! Old School Cool!!!!
Livin in "CheektaVegas, NY
Went thru 25 of these in 40 yrs.
I SOLD OUT! THE KAW BARN IS EMPTY.
More room for The Old Girl, Harley 75 FLH Electra Glide,
Old faithful! Points ign. Bendix Orig. carb.
Starts everytime!

Handsome chopper! :cheer:

If don't find specific installation instructions for large Kaw, perhaps have already considered possibly helpful info from the PDF installation instructions for Honda CB750.

This just came out of my brothers garage, sitting for 30 years. not changing anything on it . The bike is for sale, I would just like some paperwork for the magneto.

Should be the same as any other ignition system. To change the firing order, a set of custom cams would be necessary.
