Ever try to wrap a harness....... roll of electric tape too big??? I have!!!! Many times!!!! My first employer showed me this trick..... it's so simple...... it's not funny!!!! Wrap the tape around a socket...... instant tiny roll of tape!!! Got my fuse panel in........ rewriting a lot of stuff..... not done yet but close.

Ended up using these Osram relays for the headlight. They are late model GM relays. As you can see in the pic........ 2 of them are just a pinch smaller that old school Bosch relay. Both are good for 30 amps.

If you are wrapping a large section of harness, you want to get some non-adhesive electrical tape. The adhesive stuff makes it a disaster later.

Agree! If nothing else use non-adhesive tape to secure the ends of the wrapping. The very best I have found is F4 silicone tape. It only sticks to itself, and that's after you stretch it to activate it. I roll goes a long way becasue you stretch it to use it. Ed

Here's a link that describes it: www.f4tape.com/

You can get it from Amazon and other places: www.amazon.com/F4-Tape-Self-Fusing-Silic...8-1&keywords=f4+tape

i used to use F-4 tape on actual F-4D Phantom II. Great stuff. Removed by cutting it off cleanly and never stuck to the wires, just itself. Heat tolerant to a point. Practically vibration proof. Can be cleaned. If wrapped right, waterproof. Really great stuff. Wished I stashed a case of the stuff.

I have a roll of similar self-fusing tape, but it's black. Great stuff, but there's no unwrapping it, it will have to be sliced off.
