Easy Wiring Question (I Hope)
19 Jun 2017 11:11
I need to do a little wiring work on my '81 650 which includes the right handlebar connections and something in the wiring diagram looks odd to me:
So... The brown and blue wires go into this 6 pin connector just to be spliced on the other side?

If you notice the wires in question are related to the front and rear lights. In older models there was a switch to turn the lights on or off on the right hand control unit. Later models removed this option. The lights are on all the time. So the splice is nothing more than what would of been a switch in the on position.

Also, the European models usually have a headlight switch there in the right handlebar control.
