Kill Switch?
14 Jun 2017 13:21
Hello KZrider's
I have a 1981 305. Between the seat and plastic side cover(left side) there is a very small black switch. Its definitely wired into the wiring but I have switched on and off at different times but nothing happens. Any idea what this could be? A "hidden" kill switch? I will post pics tonight after it stops raining and hailing here in the Chicago 'Burbs.
Thoughts, Please.
Thank you
Phillip

Someone may have added it as an antitheft device.

If the engine is running and nothing happens when you flip the switch back and forth, it probably is not a kill switch, or a light switch, or a horn switch. It could be for an accessory that is no longer present.

Closely examining a stock wiring diagram may give some clues.
