Blinker question

I put on aftermarket taillights and now the blinkers do not flash, they come on but do not blink. The taillights came with a 10 watt bulb, is this to small a wattage or would it be a bad relay? It is for a 1982 KZ750 Twin CSR

The problem may be the old thermal flasher. The auto parts store should have an electronic flasher.
Novita. LL552 = long life light duty trailer flasher. EL12 = heavy duty trailer flasher. LF12 = 5x louder.

Here's a heavy duty trailer unit from autozone. Made in USA. Novita. TridonĀ® EL12. Electro-mechanical flasher.

Are the rear turn signals integrated into the tail light? That's what I was assuming. If not, I'm not sure if the turn signal flasher is the problem.

No it is a regular taillight not integrated , It takes a 1156 Incandescent bulb.
This is what I purchased:

If the turn signals have modern bulbs, then the problem could be the flasher. I think the reason is the stock flashers work on a narrow voltage range or something like that. LEDs for sure would need an electronic flasher such as the ones mentioned above.
