1980 KZ1000 Resistor assembly needed

Hey guys I have a 1980 KZ1000LTD engine...that's it...wires are missing and I am trying to piece together an electrical system to try and see if the engine runs. I have the IC Ignitor unit, two ignition coils, spark plugs and wires, but I haven't been able to find a resistor assembly. Does anyone know where I could find one that would fit my bike or recommend an aftermarket that would work? Most OEM resistors that I have found are back ordered and local parts store haven't been able to help. This is my first project bike so any info helps. Thanks.

If it were me, I'd contact the resident "Wizard" Loudhvx, and ask him about wiring around it. I don't think it's needed.

I thought about just trying to bypass it but I read somewhere that it could fry the pulsers,

As expected, the resistor assy is listed as part obsolete at Partzilla. Most parts like that aren't available any more from the Kawasaki dealer or any of the on-line places. I did not see a nos part listed on eebbaayy. There's a used one, but it's in poor visual condition & pricy too. $50T. (#28018-1018).

This may not be much help & I don't know if there's anything for your 1980 KZ1000, but here's a topic with a number of bare bones wiring diagrams provided by loudhvx. 1980 750H bare bones for mattylight

I have a good used one if you find that you really need/want it.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationOr, just make your own with a couple 1 ohm or 2 ohm 50 watt power resistors.

Yea I called a couple of local dealerships and service shops and they pretty much had no idea what I was talking about...so..they were no help...the first response I received on the forum said that they thought I probably didn't need the resistor...anybody agree? Would resistor spark plugs or resistor caps help me out at all? I appreciate you guys responding...thank you
