Q: battery warning light and neutral
15 Dec 2013 08:26 - 15 Dec 2013 08:26
Hoi!
'88 KZ 750 P1
How to eliminate the battery warning light from flashing in dash?
Have no sensor.
Second:
In neutral the high beam light is on and if on high beam there is no indication at all- is there a wire mix-up or just
greetings

I had that on my GPZ1100. I took out the battery bulb. (You need a sensor type battery.) When you're in neutral, is your neutral light on also or just high beam? Maybe someones been inside there and the bulbs are in the wrong socket holes.

Removing the bulb is not the solution- red general warning light is blinking to
And battery warning is LCD

And battery warning is LCD

Oh, L.C.D. Sorry. Do you have a schematic? Is it a floating ground switch? There's got to be a way around it.

My '83 Gpz750 doesn't have a sensor but should. Someone, previous to me, just stripped the wire back and put the sensor lead to the + on the battery.

That's what I did on my GPz 1100 (before installing an Acewell gauge.) Find the battery sensor wire (don't know your bike but on the 1100 it's pink) and connect it to battery plus and the warning light should turn off.
