When I did mine, I desoldered the original wires from the old switch and installed it on the new one to make the color coding easier to follow.

looking at the schematic: I see a yellow wire for IGN, but I don't see a yellow wire on either switch. maybe it is the green wire with red stripe. The other colors (red, brown, white, blue) appear to agree with the schematic.

okay I'll tAke all of this into account. Me and my instructor took apart the old switch to see how it operated. Very interesting to see the 3 sets of metal alignment pads. I do not quit understand the Tl1 2 and 3 stuff as all I can think about is which wires go to what .I will have to take a good look at those diagrams. Any input on what the different color wires go to? Like blue, white, brown. I think red is my hot wire but i will hit it with a meter tomorrorw and get back with results, thanks

according to the diagram, the hot wire from the battery is white. The red wire is shown as TL2.

This was alittle confusing But I ran what colors I had matching to what colors are on the harness. I plugged in the new colors according to the ingnition testing diagram and this is what I got
