It should be pretty straightforward. Remove left footpeg, shift lever, starter cover first. Now take the spocket cover off. Next take off the stator cover bolts, the stator cover/stator. Unlug wiring from old stator, remove the 3 bolts that mount it to the cover and you are done. Reverse to install, using new gasket if the old one is damaged which it will be.
