hello, i find myself once again fixing something,
after fixing something. I believe i have an
ignition problem but not sure, when i switch the key
to on, i get a small static spark across all plugs?
i have compression 150 to 151 on all cylinders,
but only 4 and 3 are running. i squirted fuel into the dead cylinders while running nothing. The real puzzling
thing is i do have fire to the plugs. i did have to jump the brown and yellow wire togeather on the kill switch to get the motor to turn over. i have installed
the dyna s electonic ing, and it did sit a while before i used it . i have fire to the coils and fire to the plugs, i did notice that a small flickering on the trouble light, about the same as the small static charge, happened on the dynaing when i set static timing, kz 900 76 model

just swapped green lead to black and black to green, on the dyna and now the opposite cylinders are firing, think it could be pickup coils?

OK... 1&4 fire together using the coil fed by the black wire and 2&3 fire together using the coil fed by the green wire. 3 & 4 are firing. You swap the green and black leads and now 1 & 4 are firing. This means one of two things... you have the plugs wires connected to the plugs incorrectly... in other words, 1&2 are coming off a single coil and 3&4 are coming off a single coil OR you have two bad wires or two bad connections for the wires to the coils. It can't really be the pickup coils since they active (probably the wrong word) two coils at a time nor the ignitor (it didn't know you swapped leads and doesn't care... it sends one "signal" to a coil and it can't be the coil itself as it just fires to two wires...

Check where wires go from coils

Check connection of plug wire to coil and plug caps... If the problem continues, replace the plug wires with a nice set of NGK wires or Accel wires.
