Wire/ cable routing diagram?

Hey guys,

I just picked up a '81 Kz750H2 LTD ($50) and it needs some TLC. There are a few fried wires that I need to fix. I just picked up a from eBay for the wiring diagram and other bits but I can't find anything about routing the wires or cable. The S/M has a few pics but nothing detailed. Do any of you have a Setup Manual you could scan or possibly take pics of your bikes wiring. I mainly need to know how the wires are routed around the battery box and electric components.
Any help would be appreciated!

OK, well since noone has piped up, how about a hint where the Self cancelling turnsignal module mounts? I can figure the rest out but can't place that one?

I thought that is in the actual turn-signal-switch unit on the left handlebar. That's why it's so big and bulky.

The left switch housing is bulky but there is a "Self-Cancelling Turn Signal Operating Unit" (at least thats what the box says ) that is mounted somewhere on the right side of the battery box. I went to buykawasaki.com and the didn't show anything for the '81 model just the '80 which doesn't have it.

my 81 doesnt have a canceling switch?

I've printed the wiring diagram for the Kz750H2 out of the filebase on here and its shows the control unit. There is a six pin connector and two seperate leads. If anyone has a '81 kz750H2 can you please pull off your right side cover and check to see if you have a control unit too? Thanks.

Streetfighter - did you ever get this figured out? I was just searching for a wire routing diagram and came across this thread.

Is there a source for model specific routing diagrams? My factory manual has a schematic but no routing diagram. It's not in the owner's manual, is it? I haven't checked there but know I've seen these cable and wiring routing diagrams somewhere before.

I have most (if not all) of the KHI shop manuals for the four cylinder Kawasakis (1972-1983) and none of them have a wiring/cable routing diagram. But in 1984, Kawasaki released the GPz900 and that shop manual does have a cable routing diagram.

I bet I saw it in the manual for my '99 ZRX. Maybe the KZ assembly manuals included it??

Hmmm...that would be a good bet, but I have not ever looked at one...
