1998 kz1000p head light and tail light issues.

I bought a week ago a 1998 kz1000p and when I bought it the head and tail/brake lights worked up until I rode it today and noticed that they stopped working. I checked the fuses, and the switches making sure that the light switch was on and not on po or off. I also checked for any loose wires or any shorts. Do these bikes have a lighting/brake solenoid that I don't know about? Any clue what I should start checking first? Anyone have a wiring diagram for this bike? Thanks, Ben
