electrical part needed

since there isnt a for sale section i figured this is the best place to start. im working on redoing all the wiring on a 78 kz650. the previous owner did some rewiring which is what i think is causing a slow drain on the charging system. ive been trying to find the right side control switch with the start button and kill switch but can only find the left side on ebay. i was hoping someone may have one for sale on here?

now my control has a headlight switch on it but i cant tell if this item has one. the headlight switch on mine is just for on and off. if this item does not have the headlight switch would this be a potential problem?

You should ask the seller to be sure, but all '77 KZ650's came with the headlight ON/OFF switch. I'd check because some sellers have no clue about what year bike their parts are from. He says it's from a '77 but you can't tell by the dark picture. Ed

one last thing...the only reason im looking for the control is because the previous owner removed the actuall kill switch and rewired a toggle switch instead. i basically just need the kill switch itself and was hoping i could use the one from the ebay item (the top half of the control) and use it as a replacement for the one currently on the bike...thanks again:) i have replaced the stator and regulator/rectifier

If your bike is a Canadian model from '78 it won't likely have a headlight switch as they came with an always-on feature to meet newer standards. Other units will work but you will have extra wires at the plug end. Good luck!
