Ignition upgrade 77 kz 1000

Was wondering if someone could shoot me in the right direction. 1977 KZ 1000 Bored out to a 1175, bigger carbs w/ K&N filters, Accel Super coils with the 8.8 wires.Runs pretty good but still has the old points set up. It does have a Dyna rev limiter on it but not sure if its hooked up right. Never wound it up that high yet. But I would like to upgrade the ignition to electronic. Whats my best bet for just everyday cruising and maybe a little twist here and there. Also are the Accel coils ok to use with what ever is suggested. Thanks for help.

www.z1enterprises.com can get you into a Dyna "S" that replaces the stock ignition points. For a good upgrade, look at getting a set of the Green 3 ohm coils along with new sparkplug wires.

Some riders like the Grey 2.5 ohm coils for a hotter spark.

Wouldn't the Accel coils work fine with a Dyna S?

The Accel 3 ohm coils are perfect for the Dyna S.

The dyna S has a warning not to use coils that are less than 3 ohms. Less than 3 ohms stresses out the Dyna S and would unnecessarily heat up the coils.

the next step up from ths S is the Dyna 2000. it also replaces the manual spring advancer with an electronic computer type curve.it has 2 built in advance curves. 1 for stock, and 1 for bikes like yours with modified motors.
it also has a built in rev limiter, and can run on the 3, or 2.2 ohm coils.B)
Are u shure u have 1175cc and not 1075, or 1135cc? i havent heard of a 1175?

Same set of green Dyna coils, wires & Dyna S on my 1105 76 going on 30 years trouble free. I put an 80 factory electronic setup on another 78 KZ1000 I have too with no problems
