rebuild gone awry

now i have 81 kz 650 and i had to put a new ignition switch on it cause i am trying to sell and the ghetto thing that was on it when i got it was not going to fly trying to sell so i took 1 of another at a pull n pay before i put this on this bike started and ran and i wont start now but before you jump ahead i had to rebuild the starterand it ran with this rebuild too but now i am not getting power to the ignition and i cant get it started any post will help i am kinda on a budget but plz tell me wat you know and with my knowlege of bikes i hope my problem will resolve
ps if any 1 has a manual hopefully for free i would apreciate it i just need it till i get this bike sold or if i need to pay lets work out a deal i have alot of good kz parts forsale as well so if need be we could trade

Get a multimeter and check all the ignition wiring.

Is there a small red wire to the batt pos? It has to be connected.

i am a tech and every thing hooked up its just i am losing power going to the ignition and i dont ave a manual to reference
