There are two ignition coils.

One coil fires the two outside sparkplugs.

Other coil fires the two inside sparkplugs.

Each coil receives battery+ voltage to one of its primary terminals through a wire coming from the igniter. Perhaps a red wire.

The coil firing the two outside sparkplugs receives signals at its other primary terminal through a wire from the igniter. Perhaps a black wire.

The coil firing the two inside sparkplugs receives signals at its other primary terminal through a wire from the igniter. Perhaps a green wire.

The manual should include a wiring diagram.

Or may click here > '83KZ750 Information

and then download the wiring diagram.

Good Luck! :)

I have an 82 GPZ1100 B2, and looking at my shop manual wiring diagram, the left ignition coil has two wires, a RED wire and a Black wire going to the coil. The right coil has two wires,a RED wire and a GREEN wire.

Now 650'and 750's may have the wiring switched from what Kawasaki did on the 900's,1000's and 1100's, if that's the case reverse the wiring from what I told you.

See if the wires will reach the coil connections without pulling or stretching.

The red are the positive wires from your ignition switch, the other are your trigger wires from the pick-up coils. Look at the ignition coils, near the terminal where the wire goes on you will see a + and a -. Red to + for sure.
Then at worse you may have the wires for the plugs off, as 1 coil fires 2 plugs. 1 does 1&2, the other 3&4.
Hope this helps.

YES IT DOES!
There is a Positive and a Negitive for all Ignition coils!
Just check the coil near where the wire hooks up, it has the + & - symbols. Red Positive.
