The stock rear blinkers are always amber color on kawis, at least everyone I have ever seen. They are not used as running lights in the rear, so they are amber not red.

Actually, most new cars seem to have amber rear blinkers and some have an amber section of the tail light lense just for the blinker. Rear blinkers can be either red or amber. They have to be red if they are shared with the brake light, amber or red if they are blink only.I know there amber so people can tell its a Motorcycle turning and not a flashing red light to stop at.

I would think on a Bike being so close to the brake light that red blinking would not be wise so yellow like on most cars makes sence

By law, rear blinkers have to be red or yellow on all vehicles. And rear yellow running lights are ilegal in most states. I agree that yellow is more visible for blinkers on both cars and motorcycles. Given that visibility is more critical on a motorcycle, I would not have anything but yellow blinkers on it.

The reason I use red rear turn signals is because I modified the wiring so the rear blinkers also act as running and stop lights, and they are required by law to be red if used that way.
