I just bought this kz650 for 100 bucks it runs on 2 cylinders i think it jus a ignition problem but anyway i cant get my oil light to go off i have let it sit there and run and everything seems good plenty of new oil in bike no nocking or pecking could the 2 cylinders that are not fireing be causing this oil light problem, or do you think oil pump is bad ??

Is the sensor wire plugged in? They loosen up and fall off sometimes.

Welcome.
The oil pressure sensor is below and behind the points/elec ign. plate.
There should be a blue/red wire going to the sensor, and sometimes this wire will touch the engine or the points plate, turning the oil light on.
I've had to wrap the wire on my 650 with electrical tape because it was touching metal also.

It connects at the back of the engine along with the green and black wire for the coils. Clean and check your connections. The light should go off while just cranking the bike over with the starter.

I've only seen them under the points plate for the 650's. Like Rstnick said, sometimes the wire gets pinched and shorts out under the points cover and that causes the light to stay on. Since you've been working in that area, it's highly likely that is the problem. It's the blue wire.

That is the oil pressure sensor.
It usually has the blue wire, but depending on your model/year of 650.
What model and year 650 do you have?
Post up some pictures as well.
