Ballast resistor?
27 Jul 2009 09:32
I bought some new dyna dual output 3.0 Ohm coils from Z1E a little while ago and in the description it says "For some Kawasaki bikes with a resistor in the circuit (KZ1000 79 & 80), the 3 ohm coil is the best choice - just remove the ballast resistor from the circuit.". Just wondering where the ballast resistor would be found? I'm not sure what I'm looking for
Oh, the coils are for the 79 KZ1000st

Don't know where it is, but maybe the parts diagram can give a clue.
# 19 is a "resistor" in the parts list.
