Anyone have a used stator coil for a 1981 kz1000 I can buy?

i was bidding on em for a while before winning one...i cant sit there watching each online auction for the last second...and kept having folks win by 1 dollar above my bid...finally i got one for like under 30 with shipping.....they are really common on e-bay and the 81-2005 cop ones are the same as yours I THINK....check and see ...good luck...craig........p.s did you get you crack in the frame worked out......

I realize money is tight these days but.....

Question....
As the e-bay link depicts ~$70 for a 30 year old stator...

For an extra ~$50 you can buy a brand new, non rebuilt stator... I just don't get it...

I believe Z1 has them as well...

Yeah, I just couldn't justify cheasing out with some JB. So I took it in to a welder and had the whole thing cleaned up and strengthened before powdercoat.
