dyna ign
22 Jun 2009 21:17
my bike has the dyna with the box and two pickups? I guess you would call them pickups?
they use two screws on each to mount them one has been broke where the screws go though.
I'd like to use the other dyna setup that doesn't use the box like mine am I right?

The Dyna-S does not have a box. It is a self-contained electronic ignition.
Requires switched 12 volts (red wire).
KZ650 also has blue wire to oil pressure sending unit.
Good Luck!

eddiem, this is what it can look like installed on a '77 KZ650-B1. As mentioned, see the Blue/Red Oil Pressure indicator wire found on KZ650's.
It would help if you put your year, model and location in your signature... and it's considered real friendly too.
For more details see here on how I did mine.

Best of success.
