I just purchased a 77 kz100 that needs coils there are none on the bike! I have a extra set from my kz650 !
Will stock kz650 work on a stock kz1000?

maybe...

it depends on the years.

Kawasaki switched resistance on coils a few times. The coils on points bikes usually read around 3.5 - 3.7 ohm, with electronic ignition setups some are around 1.5 ohm, others 2.2 ohm.

You can use a higher resistance coil that what's on your bike, although you will lose a little spark intensity. You should not use a coil that's a lower resistance - the coils will overheat and eventually fail.

Like Jeff said.

If your 650 coils are for points, then it should work.
